Import Map Data to GMap Editor V2

GMap Editor V2 supports importing data from the Excel file / Text file (csv) / Spreadsheet. Click the Import button in the horizontal toolbar and choose the following options to import data in the popped up Import Markers Wizard:

Attribute Descriptions
Icon
  • Select marker's icon in the standard list
  • Enter icon image URL
Title
  • Title of the marker
Latitude / Longitude
  • Location of the marker
Category
  • Assign the markers to different categories or unassign it
URL
  • Insert URL in the marker to direct your visitors to another website
    * P.S. The info box will not be popped up in the map if you insert the url in the markers unless you select "mouse over" to show the info box.
URL Target
  • Website will be opened in either a New Window or the Same Window
Description
  • Paste content as plain text or from Word
  • Insert image
  • Edit Font format that inside the info box
  • Enable ordered / unordered list
Info Window

Choose whether show the info box when the mouse on click or roll over

  • Roll Over: when the mouse rollover the markers, the info box will be popped up automatically
  • Mouse Click: when the mouse click on the markers, the info box will be popped up
Max. Width Maximum width of the info box
Delete Delete the marker

Import Map Data from Excel File

  1. Go to the Import Markers Wizard and choose Import Excel File
  2. Download the Sample File and follow format to create your own excel file. Upload the file once you have completed.
  3. Select columns that import to the map
  4. Select content columns and see the preview in the right hand column
  5. Select category fields, then click Import button to finish the procedure
  6. Check the imported status

Import Map Data from Text File

  1. Go to the Import Markers Wizard and choose Import Data Text File(csv)
  2. Download the Sample File and follow the format to create your own csv file. Upload the file once you have completed.
  3. Select columns that import to the map
  4. Select content columns and see the preview in the right hand column
  5. Select category fields, then click Import button to finish the procedure
  6. Check the imported status

Copy and Paste Map Data from Spreadsheet

  1. Go to the Import Markers Wizard and choose Copy & Paste Data from Spreadsheet
  2. Select columns that import to the map
  3. Select content columns and see the preview in the right hand column
  4. Select category fields
  5. Click Import to finish the procedure
  6. Check the imported status
